There are some ethics principles that could have been broken in interactions between patients and physicians. Patient autonomy is the principle of respecting a patient’s right to make their own decisions about their medical care without interference or coercion from the doctor; fidelity and trust means keeping promises made to patients during treatment; beneficence and non-maleficence involve doing what is in a patient’s best interest while avoiding harm; justice involves ensuring fair distribution of resources such as access to healthcare; finally, equity refers to providing equal opportunities for receiving quality care regardless of a person’s background or circumstances.
