What is your definition of “spiritual care?” How does it differ or accord with the description given in the topic readings?

According to me, spiritual care refers to the provision of emotional and psychological support by meeting spiritual needs. These can be helping people find meaning and connection with God or higher power. It differs from the description given in the topic readings because it includes more than just religious activities; rather it is about nurturing an individual’s overall wellbeing through creating meaningful connections both within oneself and with others. Spiritual care also recognizes that there are different paths towards achieving a sense of fulfillment which should be respected regardless of one’s beliefs or backgrounds.
